Flay-chan has an adorable chibi style and while the chibi concept isn't unheard of, her drawings clearly show the effort she put into each and every one of them. She improves with every drawing and her shading is simply amazing, she has a talent I'm definitely envious of.

It was honestly hard to decide which drawings of Sadie's were my ultimate favourites. In my opinion, this girl is much, much better than she gives herself credit for. Her style is unique, she has a talent for expressions and so much more, and her sense of humor often brings a smile to my face. Don't forget you're an amazing artist, Sadie!

It was also extremely difficult to pick my three faves from Paula's gallery. Dx; Two out of three features are comics, but that's because they're so adorably hilarious. XD Paula's art has its own irresistable charm to it, and she does a wonderful job at both traditional and digital drawings. I also admire her talent for (difficult) poses, it's definitely something I envy.

Ten facts about me~

1) Even though I draw little these days, everytime I make a digital drawing I notice the process is a little more flexible and that I'm less perfectionistic than I used to be, not wanting every single thing 100% correct and instead letting loose a bit. I think this has a good effect on the ultimate results, even if it's not very visible.

2) It makes me sad I barely connect to any of my watchers these days since nearly all of the art I submit are Ina11 fanfics. Still, I'm personally very happy to have finally regained my writing spirit, and I'm proud of the stories I create.

3) As of now, I have... *counts* ... 16 characters that are one by one very dear to me.

4) I love fried eggs with cheese and ham/salami~

5) I speak more English than Dutch due to an unhealthy amount of time on the internet and tend to mix English with Dutch in real life because I forgot the Dutch words.

6) I'm a big yaoi lover and like to ship both crack-wise and because I think couples have a serious shot~ This goes for all sorts of couples from all sorts of fandoms in general. On a side note, I also think you don't need a reason to ship, just do it if you want to~

7) The Italian cartoon Winx Club is a serious guilty pleasure of mine. XD

8) I got a haircut yesterday! My hair is now cut in layers instead of having the same length, I love this new enthusiastic look.

I don't really have a smart or witty way to open this, so... here we go.

One. This one really belongs in the overdue list since it happened in July and I somehow forgot to add it. I obtained my driver's license and bought a car about a week after. Finally passing that driver's exam was a real relief for me, because the government basically shoved everyone with a "condition" into a corner and made up some half-assed rules that just make getting through this shit harder for all sides involved. For example, I had to sign more papers, visit a doctor, my exam cost more, and my driver's license has to be renewed every three years, in a heavy contrast with an unautistic person's ten years. Discrimination of any kind pisses me off, but I'm happy as is. I'm finally allowed to drive and I got as lucky as to get my hands on my favorite car second-hand, a light-blue Fiat Panda:



The picture was taken by canadianshawna87~ I'm really happy with the freedom that comes with having your own car, I can go to so many places so easily.

Two. As I've been looking for a new education the past few months, I did decide to get a job to fill time and earn some extra money. I now work as a mail deliverer, and I really enjoy this job. I can do this on my own, at my own pace and the way I think is best, I help people and it's good for my condition. I actually enjoy doing this so much that I prefer it over studying. Me and my parents feel like we've tried all options so we agreed that I switch to working for now. This does mean that I have (and want) to move back home, seeing as the autistic home I live in is only for students. I plan to live with my parents at first, as I kinda have no choice, but we'll gradually be looking for a little house I can have for my own. I'll really miss living in the autistic student home; all, it has been my home for a year. The guides have been extremely supportive and taught me so much. Having my own little place outside of my parents' reach is a really enjoyable freedom, and I've always liked the city I live in. It's not too crowded and everyone is nice to each other. Plus, everything is extremely closeby. Not just the supermarket, but also a bakery, shoe/clothing store, doctor and so forth. But yeah, if I have the choice to live near my parents, there is no choice to make. In the end, I always wish to be close to my family.

Three. I've been a Wicked fan for years and it's finally paid off. 26 October was the first Dutch performance of the musical, AND I WAS THERE. I never did think it would be better than the Broadway original, and it's a good thing I didn't. But still, they put a lot of effort into the Dutch adaption and it really showed. The lyrics were mostly well translated, the effects emphasized the atmosphere at all the right times, and instead of actors, I really only saw the characters they were supposed to play. They were so into their role and the relationships they were supposed to have came across very naturally. So yeah, it was a blast, and I'm so happy to have finally seen this awesometastic musical. <3

Four. The reason I haven't submitted any art lately is because I'm very much into writing at the moment. I'm personally pretty happy about that: it's taken me over a year to get back into such a deep writing mood, where words just flow out of me and create a well written story. I would submit these pieces on DA but they all center around Inazuma Eleven, as I'm still in love with that series. I personally think not many of you would care and  just click the messages out of your inbox. On top of that, all of them are about romance and half of them get *cough* "intimate". So yeah, there's not much else to report on the art front, I just feel like writing rather than drawing right now.

Five (just treat this as a PS): I'm thinking about repeating my little Christmas-related action from last year: sending everyone who wants one, a Christmas card. For newcomers and the ones who forgot: I bought a set of twelve Christmas cards, with two designs per six cards. I let people pick one of the designs (while keeping them a surprise) and then sent them their cards, which contained a personal message for every recipient. I'm really, really grateful, and so happy that this little action was such a success, so I want to do it a second time. I promise once again that I'm not some kind of creeper and simply wish to add to the kind spirit that is Christmas. Don't believe me? We don't need to be big pals, you don't even need to be a watcher, but I do have to know who you are. Otherwise, it'd be pretty hard to write you a personal message. Yeah, some stuff happened this summer that I probably should've talked about way earlier, for those who are interested in how I am. I partially didn't because I'm a lazy idiot, and partially because I honestly wonder how many of my "158 watchers" even care. Not counting the dead accounts by both the literal meaning of the word and people just not using them anymore, I'm assuming I have at least 100. I would be proud of that number, except that only 1/10th seems to bat an eye at my activity. And that's the general amount, now it's even less. I'm used to relatively few faves and even fewer comments, and I can't tell you how much you awesome people who do give me feedback make my day, but I'm really wondering what happened to everyone. Does my art not interest you? Is it too much of the same thing? Is it too simple? Did it decrease in quality? Did I say something wrong? Or am I just being paranoid while you guys are having your own lives and care as much as always but simply don't voice it? I truly hope that's it because I'm mostly that kind of watcher. I fave a lot of the stuff of people I watch but rarely leave a comment, again because I'm busy, which is rarely the case, and because I'm lazy, which is pretty much always the case. But I do care about all the art pieces and journals that pop up in my inbox and look at them all. Yeah, you can call me a hypocrite for baawwing about not getting enough attention, but the "lack of attention" isn't really my problem. My problem is that barely anyone that watches me even bothers to fave my work nowadays, and I'm wondering if I did something to cause it. To the watchers who spend their time supporting me: thank you, it means the world to me. You fuel a big part of my self-confidence.

I probably should've made that my first point. Onto more happy stuff.

Two. Like some people may have read in one of my recent quizes, I've been kicked out of Translation and have no education right now. The reason, in a nutshell, is that the level was too high and the pace of the classes went too fast for me. What really pissed me off in the "you're a dumbass, get out of our superior school" meeting was that the lady clearly tried to giftwrap every line she said. She basically said I'm useless to the school but tried so hard to make it sound like the school was noooot to blaaame at aaaaall and that I was a moron for not doing my best more. Need I remind you that nearly all odds were against me this schoolyear? Not only were the classes themselves hard enough, when I needed help I was either given it reluctantly or not at all, and I broke two of my bones in January, from which point studying pretty much went downhill. Any normal school I know would consider just the accident enough to allow me to redo the year, but nope, not this super-sophisticated school. Suck my balls. I can gladly say I felt disappointed, I felt angry, but I did not feel sad. I felt sad because school hit me in the face again (this wasn't the first time) but not necessarily because Translation was my number one education, because it never was. Ever. It was more of an emergency exit because no other education even interested me. I realize that that was also a reason I didn't make it but only for a small part. I aimed to be a subtitler and I sincerely did look forward to the job. But really, with those assfucks acting like some kind of God-like social class, I don't think they even deserve me. So a big middlefinger to them.
Right now, aside from having a ridiculous amount of free time, I'm seeking help from an organisation that specializes in finding the perfect education while keeping my autism in mind. Not only do they keep it in mind, they put it on the foreground, and I'm glad someone finally does. I met the ladies I'll be working with today and they're very sweet and understanding, so I look forward to this. Aside from that, I have very little serious stuff to do. For now, I can really only just wait. Looking for a job is risky because if it turns out the education these ladies advice me to take is on the other side of the country I'd have to quit the job even before I filled one month.

Three, and I should've said this months ago: my wrist and shoulder are doing fine, but I'm guessing you guessed that. They're still healing as they do need about a year to heal, but they function like normal, mostly. I can't turn my wrist into one certain angle without it complaining and my shoulder whines when I make, for example, a cleaning movement: a gesture that requires me to move my arm up and down a few times. But aside from that, I have no complaints. Again, thank you to everyone who supported me through that rough time.

Four. As you've probably seen, I'm not exactly active on DA right now. I go on here as much as always (quite a couple unhealthy hours) but I just don't do anything productive. I don't know what it is; despite having a lot of free time, I spend it on playing games and watching internet reviewers rather than drawing. But yeah, I certainly have the desire to draw that I doubt will ever die and will try to fulfill Roxy317's request soon. Hope you look forward to it. <3 Also, most of my future drawings will center around my original characters. Let's face it, GKND is dying out and I prefer to focus more on my precious creations so if you're here for fanart, you'll get what you want probably once a month, at most. But that was pretty much always the case with my gallery. And, of course, thanks to everyone who asked Rika & Senf a question, I had a lot of fun drawing the answers and I hope they entertained you. <3

Five, the point that easily made my entire summer: Shawn's visit. All I can say is: we had a blast. It was the first time meeting in real life for us, but everything went so well. We never argued, simply voiced our thoughts, and we simply loved being with each other. While we recognized a lot of parts about each other that we knew from the internet, we easily embraced the new sides that we saw. We did a lot of stuff that brought us only closer, so yeah, we're still pretty serious and we plan to stay that way. Oh, and this:



PROMISE RING BITCHES.  

Yeeeah, this is pretty much my pride and joy right now. We bought one for each of us at a local jewelry store. Please don't mind me shoving it into your face, I brag about this ring to everyone. XD;

I think that's pretty much it for the updates. One more thing about the first point: I really didn't like writing all that because I know some people don't get any attention at all, while in my case, there are definitely a couple of watchers that've stuck around for years and I'm totally grateful for. If I offended anyone at all, just please don't bash me for it because it's not like I'm and ignorant brat who forgets about her watchers for the sake of attention whoring. If I were, I wouldn't have mentioned the active watchers. Again: I'm grateful for everyone who supports me and my art, I just wonder where the hell about 9/10th of my alleged watchers went. That's basically my point.
